Thoughts behind the scene
Thursday November 4, 2010
Why in the world is college so freakin expensive? i know it can't be more than $40,000 per year to keep a building up and running, now times that by over 1,000 students attending and you get way more than the cost of books, materials used, and professor wages. so where is the remainder $XX,000 going?? Today’s society is ridiculous! How can anyone afford to go to college without a lifetime of debt? it is required to have a college education in order to do well in the world and make enough to get by, however, the cost of education keeps those who can’t afford it in the poverty level all their lives. Now take for Example a fine arts college, that I recently looked into, they are asking $75,000 per year! That is more than the cost of a house! There shouldn’t have to be a mortgage on your education. Now if you were to talk to a college reprehensive they would make the price sound real reasonable, what with ALL these scholarship available to the public and Grants coming out the government’s ass, in addition to payment plans, and FASA help. Let me tell you from experience there maybe scholarship available, but unless you’re a different ethnicity, dirt broke, or come from a broken home you’re not getting tuition assistance. I can’t tell you how many scholarships I’ve applied for and haven’t received one! If the US has so much scholarship money to give out every year then why the hell is it so hard to get them? Same with FASA depending on how much your parents make you may or may not be eligible for financial assistance...I don’t know about you guys but, personally I know my parents aren’t going to spend $225,000 on my college education not including room and board and books. I think those who are apply and searching for financial help obviously have the right mind set, with their head on their shoulders and are determined to get a college education, because they want a better life. Just because I don’t come from a broken home, had many struggles in my life, am disabled in some way, and my parents make enough to get by, doesn’t mean I’m any less deserving of financial help then the next person, in fact it’s more difficult for the well rounded kids these days to get help, hell why don’t I claim bankrupts then I can go to college for free, the ethics in America these days put the thoughts of …reach high...just not to high… in the minds of kids all over, this insanity must be stopped! Maybe we would have so much debt in America if colleges weren’t so freakin expensive!

His eyes Stare deep into my shallow core Right through the desperate attempts to hide the unforgivable.
Only the disappointing glances remained Reading my not so invisible Soul, like an open book.
As I looked deep into his wise, tired eyes,
Tears wrestled with reality As if some inner struggle to hold onto the innocence of his baby girl.
just then, The carefully crafted persona Of the understanding father,
Broke.
As a single tear brimmed over, Sliding down his lifeless checks Where wrinkles formed from laughing, Once upon a time, My heart stopped.
As the tiny tear Splashed onto the floor echoing in the silence of the room.
He said everything, Without saying anything.
As if he could heal the broken virtue, as if by some heroic way he could rescue the lost lamb, Not realizing where he had lost her.
His eyes said it all Without saying anything at all,
in a single tear,
I was lost forever the plan was ruined His dreams Awakened His high hopes Fallen
And I alone Admittedly Regrettably Said the two words that could never Undo the already done
I’m sorry.

There she sits against the cold lockers Tears streaming down her cheeks, As if wind and rain collided, Life as she knew it and reality crashed aimlessly. The outcome left her Emotionally paralyzed. Numb. All that was once impossible Has been made manifested, All that she believed to be true, Proven guilty. Her life, Her world, Shaded by lies and deceit, Overload. The hard drive to her soul Crashing. Protection breaking. Contemplating, Where to go And what to do She sits. The world around her Passing on by. Invisible Deaf to the voices of her conscience Denial Curled up like a baby In the womb As if, A chance to make anew. Scared.

On line application anybody?... No thank You!! I think the online applications are a waste of time and energy! Especially for a $9 an hour job! Who in their right mind would honesly put up with a 500 questionaire for a cashier possition!? thats assaine!! What happend to the good old fashion paper applications?? Freakin spend uo to 2 hours or more on the damn computer answering da same question asked in a different format to "get to know" the person It's BS!! You dont "get to know" a person threw an apllication! Go in and talk to the employer! Besides you know everyone on the damn computer are answering the same questions to try and impress the same employer to what they think he/she wants to hear..."are you a people person?"...no i'm just applying for a customer service possition for the hell of it? (saracastic)...what do you think? It's just degrading the way the ask questions like we're stupid. pluss its a waste of time!! A teller possition at a bank takes less time to fill out than the freakin Michaels application on line! Your out of you mind!! In todays society, the old are getting fired...they are stealing the youth' jobs! Walk into any clothing or grocery store now and days and notice how many 40 years old and older employees there are! Where does that leave the young just graduated students looking for a way to save money for college?? they cant get hired at a big time office with no expierence or education, but cant get a job to pay for education, leaving a loan as a last resort with no way of paying it back. All because the society today sucks! An employer is most likely to hire an older person than a younger person on the one fact that they have more expiernce, yet we the young, will never get the chance to grow a resume with expirence. Second reason is because the older have insurance, morgage and bills to pay, therefore those who are more in "need" will have first pirority. which would be fine if the whole STATE wasnt in "need!" Employers need to respect our time as well!! everyone is looking for jobs! Dont make your applicaion 2 hours long! It's just rude! They might think "if he/she really wants it then they will complet this rediculously long apllication" But the fact of the matter is, if we werent interested why would we start the applicatiion in the first place? At that riduclous pace one would only get like 3 done a day and feel burnt out!! The ratio that a just gaduated senior from high school and a 40 year old in "need" for getting the same job is very unlikely for the senior just graduated! So to al the employers out there STOP wasting our time! LEARN how to look at a resume with our past job information on it...Thats what its there for! Why must we repeat on the application?...Learn to READ!! It's so frustrating!

Actions Meet Judgment
When all connections are cut off from the world One is left with ones self and the actions one has made To take accountability for them and to live with them If good One is satisfied and sleeps in peace knowing the sun will rise And all will be well If bad One will toss and turn in the bed But the actions will haunt ones self And make one suffer for that which one has done For them the sun will not rise only to burn as eternity will be justice What shall one do then if one is in such self torture? How is one to live with such regret and agony? Is it possible to live normal with these actions in perfect memory? As hard as one tries to forget and shun down the flashing images Screaming NO as if by screaming it, it somehow erases the deed One can not forget until one makes it right again And what about those few who cannot fix that which is broken Are their souls forever lost in a spiral of self pity and remorse? Who are they to pronounce guilty and innocent when both feel the same? When one takes the responsibility and fesses up Does that mean nothing to a weeping soul? As rain pours down flooding the streets below, The storm of guilt crashes against ones conscience. Agonizing one pleas for mercy Woe to they how find no relief.
